A normal computer — like your laptop or phone — thinks using bits. Each bit is like a tiny switch that can be either a 1 (on) or 0 (off). A quantum computer uses something called qubits instead of bits. A qubit can be both ON and OFF at the same time.
Think of a maze. A regular computer tries one path at a time. A quantum computer can try many paths at once, then tell you the right one almost instantly.
